Tinkering
Before training the tinkering skill, you should consider two other skills: lockpicking and carpentry.
If you plan to train lockpicking, you will need locked boxes to train with. The easiest way to get training boxes is to make lockable crates using the carpentry skill.
When making lockable containers, the difficulty of the lock is based on the tinkering skill of the crafter. Thus before training tinkering, you may want to make some boxes to use for training tinkering. Then make some more boxes as you progress in training tinkering skill, giving you a variety of training boxes that can be used at different lockpicking skill levels.

0-30: Spoon
30-45: Hammer
45-95: Lockpick
95-100: Flour Sifter
