Poisoning
The main use of the poisoning skill is to apply poison to weapons. Higher level poisons require higher levels of skill to apply. The poisoning skill is activated from the skill list. Some people also be entertaining to poison food and pass it around.
Having the poisoning skill provides a benefit when using poisoned weapons. The higher your skill, the greater the chance is that an infectious strike with a weapon will increase in level; for example the greater poison on the weapon will hit deadly poison.
High poisoning skill also affects the magery poison spell when casting at short range.
Players who poison weapons are reliant on alchemists to supply them with poison, and it is most convenient to learn alchemy at the same time you train poisoning; by simply crafting the poison needed to train poisoning to 100, your alchemy skill will go up to or near 100 as well.
