Peerless Bosses
There are six peerless bosses, one in each of the following areas: Bedlam, the Blighted Grove, the Citadel, the Palace of Paroxysmus, the Prism of Light, and the Twisted Weald.
In order to challenge a peerless boss, you must first do the associated quest; each peerless has a different quest.
In general, peerless quests involve gathering the "keys" to the boss. Once you have the keys in your possession, place the keys in a specific location to summon the boss.
The boss appears in its own area, and you will receive three "master keys" which, when double-clicked, teleport you and your party into the boss area. You can give master keys to other players, or keep them so you can leave the boss area and return.
Once you are in the peerless domain, you have about one hour to kill it. While the boss is active, other parties cannot activate the boss; they must wait for you to finish. If you fail to do so, you will be ejected from the area. Also, if all players leave the peerless domain, the peerless boss will also leave.
The peerless bosses have significant loot. All of them carry highly valued magical ingredients used for crafting artifacts. In addition, each has unique items that only it can give - both ingredients as well as usable or decorative items.
Bedlam - Monstrous Interred Grizzle
In order to enter Bedlam you must be on one of the quests which allow access to the area. Begin the Mistaken Identity quest by speaking to Aernya in Umbra, near the bloodletter. Complete enough steps in the quest to allow you entry to Bedlam, but do not fully complete the quest. Once you have access, double-click the iron maiden in the bloodletter's shop to enter Bedlam.
Inside Bedlam, speak to Master Cohenn in the library. Complete the Misplaced quest to get his key, and place the librarian's key on his nightstand to receive the master key for the Monstrous Interred Grizzle.
The Blighted Grove - Lady Melisande
To enter the Blighted Grove you must have a bone machete. The recipe for a bone machete is acquired by completing the Vile Poison quest given by Jamal just outside the entrance to the Blighted Grove. Once you've acquired the recipe, learned it, and crafted a bone machete (or several machetes as they do break on occasion), you can chop your way into the Blighted Grove.
Once inside the Blighted Grove, find the Frightened Dryad and complete the Bound to the Land quest to receive her blessing. Place her blessing inside the basket near her to get the master key for Lady Melisande's lair.
The Citadel - Travesty
The entry point to the Citadel is found via the public moongate. At that location in Tokuno, you can double-click the shimmering crate nearby to enter the Citadel, but only if you are in the middle of either the Evidence or Black Order Badges quest given by Sarakki the Notary in Britain.
The key to Travesty's lair is not received by completing a formal quest. Acquire the Serpent's Fang key, Tiger's Claw key, and the Dragon's Flame key from the three corresponding Black Order members - the Serpent's Fang High Executioner, the Tiger's Claw Master, and the Dragon's Flame Grand Mage.
Once you have all three keys, place them on the table in the entry room of the Citadel to receive the master key to Travesty.
The Palace of Paroxysmus - Chief Paroxysmus
The Palace of Paroxysmus is found in the middle of the Lost Lands north of Papua. In order to enter you must have either a magical rope purchased for 5000 gold, or an acid proof rope crafted by a carpenter.
To battle Paroxysmus you must acquire four items and place them in the cauldron outside his lair: Coagulated Legs, Gelatanous Skull, and Partially Digested Torso are found randomly as loot from corrosive slimes. The Spleen of the Putrefier can be found randomly as loot from the Putrefier. After placing those four items in the cauldron you will receive the key to his lair.
The Prism of Light - Shimmering Effusion
Enter the Prism of Light by purchasing a ticket from Lefty the Ticket Seller (10,000 gold) just outside the entrance in Nujel'm.
The Shimmering Effusion has six separate altars; each altar requires a different type of crystal to be placed on it, and you receive the master key once all six altars are filled. The altars appear as six stone pillars in a room with unfrozen mummies and protectors. The crystal types are: broken crystals, crushed crystals, jagged crystals, pieces of crystal, scattered crystals, and shattered crystals. Each type of crystal is found as random loot on a specific type of monster. The monsters are: crystal daemons, crystal sea serpents, crystal hydras, crystal lattice seekers, crystal vortices, and unfrozen mummies.
The Twisted Weald - Dread Horn
To enter the Twisted Weald you must be on the Dreadhorn quest given by either Lorekeeper Calendor in Heartwood or Lorekeeper Oolua in Sanctuary. The entrance to the Twisted Weald is a fairy ring inside the Mushroom Cave in Ilshenar.
To enter the Dread Horn's island you must acquire six items and drop them onto the Statue of the Faie, found in a circle of stones to the east of his island. Two of the items, Blighted Cotton and Thorny Briar, are simply gathered off the ground inside the Twisted Weald. The other four items are found randomly as loot on named creatures: Gnaw's Fang, Irk's Brain, Sabrix's Eye, and Lissith's Silk.
