New Player Benefits
Extra assistance is provided to players who are new to the server:
Bonus Skills - On the first character that you create, you can set three skills of your choice to 75.
New Player Dungeon - For your first three weeks here you have access to Kalandor Dungeon, also known as the new player dungeon. In the dungeon you are safe from thieves and player killers, so it's an ideal place to train your skills and learn about the game. Read the new player guide for details about the dungeon.
New Player Champion Spawns - To raise your skills over 100 you need power scrolls. To get power scrolls you need to do champion spawns, but many newer players find them either too difficult or intimidating. We have two champion spawns that are geared toward new players; they're easier and there's no risk of being raided by player killers, but on the other hand will never give +20 or +15 power scrolls. These champion spawn altars are in dungeons accessible from New Haven.
New Player Helpers - Veteran players are standing by waiting to help you. Click the help button in your backpack to page for online assistance. In addition, many players hanging out in New Haven, Luna, or Britain are willing to assist an honest and earnest new player.
Restricted Dungeons - Though ABCUO is a dangerous world that mostly uses the Felucca ruleset where PVP combat is allowed, there are a few places where you are relatively safe from such combat. If you've outgrown the New Player Dungeon but still feel uneasy about venturing out into more dangerous areas, there are additional dungeons on Haven Island that are more advanced than Kalandor Dungeon but still safe from PVP combat.
