Weapon Abilities
Weapon abilities are possibly the biggest difference between one weapon type and another. For some players, the effect of a weapon ability is more important than the damage done by the weapon. Effective use of weapon abilities can be a critical part of combat.

Each weapon has two abilities, and most players assign key macros to use their weapon abilities. To use a weapon's primary ability you must have at least 70 skill in that weapon proficiency. The secondary ability requires 90 skill. Some abilities may require additional skills before they can be used.

There is no limit to how often you can use weapon abilities, provided you have the mana to use them. Using a weapon ability within three seconds of the previous use will cause the mana cost to double for this use.

Armor Ignore25The attack hits for 90% of normal damage, but bypasses all of the target's resistances. Most useful against heavily armored foes.
Armor Pierce25Hits for 50% bonus damage. Requires 50 Bushido or Ninjitsu skill.
Bladeweave25Attacks using a random weapon ability from this list: armor ignore, bleed, concussion, crushing, double strike, mortal strike, block, feint, disarm, whirlwind, frenzied whirlwind, defense mastery, talon strike, armor pierce, paralyzing blow, nerve strike.
Bleed Attack25Causes the target to drip blood every two seconds for ten seconds, taking damage each time. Bleed can be stopped by healing with bandages.
Block25Increases your defense ability for 6 seconds. Requires 50 Bushido or Ninjitsu skill.
Concussion Blow20Damages the target based on the difference between their relative health and their relative mana remaining. The most damage is done when the target has either high mana and low health, or low mana and high health.
Crushing Blow20Hits for 50% bonus damage.
Defense Mastery25Temporarily raises your physical resistance while reducing your weapon damage. Requires 50 Bushido or Ninjitsu skill.
Disarm15Disarms your target and makes them unable to wield a weapon for 4 seconds.
Dismount15Forces your target of their mount, or out of their animal form if they are in a fast form. Note that dismounting with a lance while on horseback only works if the target is also wielding a lance.
Double Shot25Fires two arrows at once, usable only when mounted. Requires 50 Bushido or Ninjitsu skill.
Double Strike25Attacks with lightning speed to perform two strikes, but at 90% of normal damage.
Dual Wield25Increases your swing speed 50% for 6 seconds. Requires 50 Ninjitsu skill.
Feint25Your target will do only 50% of normal damage to you for 6 seconds. This reduction applies to both spells and weapon damage.
Force Arrow15Lower's the target's defenses in the same manner as the hit lower defense property, and has a chance of making them stop fighting.
Force of Nature35Hits for 100% bonus damage, but also damages the attacker with physical and poison damage.
Frenzied Whirlwind25Attacks all enemies in a 2 tile range and inflicts damage over time.
Infecting10If your weapon has had poison applied to it, infects your target with that poison, thus preventing them from healing and doing damage over time. If you have the poisoning skill, the potency of the poison has a chance of being increased.
Infused Throw25If you are on foot, dismounts your target; otherwise, stuns them. Also does additional chaos damage.
Lightning Arrow15The target and two valid targets one tile away are hit with lightning bolts.
Mortal Strike25Renders your target unable to heal by external means (such as bandages or magery healing) for 4 seconds if your target is a player, 12 seconds against monsters. While under mortal strike, you can still cure poison and heal bleed effects.
Moving Shot10Allows you to fire an arrow while on the move, but with a 25% penalty to accuracy.
Mystic Arc25The thrown weapon will hit a second target. Both targets take additional energy damage.
Nerve Strike25Paralyzes your target for 2 seconds and does bonus damage depending on your Bushido skill. Paralysis is broken if the target takes damage. Requires 50 Bushido skill.
Paralyzing Blow25Paralyzes player targets for 3 seconds, monsters for 6 seconds. Paralysis is broken if the target takes damage.
Psychic Attack25Reduces the target's spell damage temporarily, with the effect based on the difference between your intelligence and the victim's.
Riding Swipe25If you are on foot, dismounts your opponent and damages their mount. Mounts must be healed before they can be re-mounted; if the mount is ethereal, the rider is damaged. If you are mounted, damages and stuns the mounted opponent for 3 seconds. Requires 50 Bushido skill.
Serpent Arrow35Fires a magical arrow of poison. Poison level depends on the poisoning skill and dexterity, and will never be higher than Greater Poison.
Shadow Strike15Hides you upon attack and inflicts an additional 25% damage. Requires 80 Stealth skill.
Talon Strike25Hits for 20% bonus damage initially, and additional draining damage over time. Requires 50 Ninjitsu skill.
Whirlwind10Hits all enemies in range, with bonus damage if there are many targets and you have high Bushido skill.
