Chivalry
Chivalry is the main skill of paladins, useful for combat in many situations. Higher chivalry skill allows you to cast higher level spells with greater effect.
Chivalry requires you to have a particular spellbook, the book of chivalry. The book can be purchased from the defender of chivalry in the city of Luna, and comes filled with all of the appropriate spells.
Paladin spells are affected by your karma. Some spells will still work if you have low or negative karma, but will have reduced effect or duration. Some spells (notably, remove curse) will not work at all unless you have strong karma.
Instead of using reagents, chivalry requires that you tithe gold to a shrine. Each spell uses a number of tithing points, and if you are out of tithing points you will be unable to cast spells. To tithe, single-click on an ankh and select the "tithe gold" option. Lower reagent cost equipment does have an effect on paladin spells, but even then you must have a minimum level of tithing points for any spell to work.
Paladin spells are affected by faster casting and faster cast recovery equipment. When your magery and mysticism skill is below 70, the maximum effective fc is 4, and fcr is 8. If your magery or mysticism skill is 70 or higher, the maximum effective fc is 2.
The paladin spells are detailed here. Note that if you have a faster casting of 4, mana cost for each spell is increased by 1 point.
Training
When training, remember that faster casting equipment affects chivalry, and spell channeling is not necessary, so you can cast faster when your weapon and shield both have faster casting. Here are the spells you should cast at each skill level:
15-25: Consecrate Weapon
25-35: Divine Fury
35-55: Dispel Evil
45-55: Enemy of One
55-110: Holy Light
110-120: Noble Sacrifice
