New Player Guide - Quests
In the dungeon there are a variety of quests suitable for newer players. For example at the dungeon entrance, the old man Cecil can reward you with some lower reagent cost armor - very useful stuff for someone who's just starting out.
To do the quest, single-click Cecil and select the Talk option. He'll describe what he wants you to do . . . though you may need to have higher skill levels before you're ready to tackle the quest.
Once you have the item that Cecil needs, drop it onto him for your reward.
